Coach loves fitness trackers. They’re a great way to keep tabs on your activity, overall fitness, diet and sleep, and we even think 10,000 steps is a totally reasonable goal to aim for. The only problem is they can be eye-wateringly expensive, but there are regular sales and discounts to be had if you’re patient and know where to look. Spoiler alert: look here.
We track all the major wearable brands – Fitbit, Garmin, Misfit, TomTom, Nokia, Samsung and Huawei (and Apple, but Apple doesn’t tend to do sales and deals on the Apple Watch are few and far between) – as often as possible, and we’ve picked some of the best discounts on products worthy of your attention and money below.
Naturally there are deep discounts around Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and New Year – and we’ll be all over them – but there are more sales throughout the year and there are always discounts and flash sales on Amazon. Just sit tight and bookmark this page, or sign up for the Coach email to get notifications on Coach-approved deals.
If you’re not sure which tracker is right for you, take a read of our best fitness trackers article, which runs through what these devices can do and selects our favourites in three different price ranges.
Date For Your Diary: Prime Day 16th July
If you’re an Amazon Prime member (or know someone who is), prepare to be inundated with a ton of extra discounts beyond what Amazon usually offers on 16th July. Fitness trackers from the likes of Fitbit, Garmin and others are nearly always included so it’s worth setting a reminder on your phone, especially since Amazon’s Lightning Deals tend to end once the limited stock is exhausted so it pays to pay attention. Or let us pay attention for you, because we’ll be picking out discounts worthy of your time on the day.
Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2 (38mm only) – 37% Off
Remember we said earlier that Apple doesn’t really do sales? Well, Nike does and Nike has released a sporty twist on the Series 2 which it sells on its website. You can currently cop it at a reduced price, and once you add on the discount code 20EXTRA the price drops to a rather tempting £233.76. It’s especially tempting because there are only minor differences between the Series 2 and Series 3 without cellular connectivity. A word of warning, though: the only size still available is the smaller 38mm, so check it’ll fit comfortably before you whip out your credit card.

Misfit – Extra 20% Off Sale Items
If you hate the faff of charging your phone every day and can’t bear the thought of going through the same rigamarole with a wearable, you will love Misfit’s trackers, which use replaceable batteries that only need changing every six months or so. The hybrid watch/tracker Phase (normally £135, sale price £81) and bands Ray and Shine 2 (both normally £50, sale price £30) are included in this sale and they all automatically track your daily activity and exercise (including swimming if you purchase an in-app upgrade), providing a points score so you can easily see how active you’ve been compared with other days. We’d especially recommend the Shine 2 for swimmers because it pairs with the excellent Speedo On training platform. Use the code SALE20 to get another 20% off if you buy before 4th August.

Garmin Forerunner 735XT – 16% off
It can be easy to overlook the 735XT in Garmin’s ever-expanding Forerunner line-up, but you’d be foolish to – although it’s not the newest tracker out there, the 735XT is a fully functional triathlon watch with 14 hours of GPS battery life (11 days as a watch). And at Wiggle’s reduced price of £249.99, it’s the best all-round tracker you can get for your money.

We reckon the Vivosport is the most feature-laden fitness band on the market, and pretty much the only reason we didn’t give a five-star rating in our review was because its RRP of £169.99 is a little steep for any tracker that doesn’t have a bigger screen. However, at £149.99 – the current price on Amazon – it should go straight to the top of your shopping list if you’d rather have a fitness tracker band than a watch. The Vivosport has a built-in GPS, monitors your heart rate and advanced stats like your VO2 max, and is a terrific everyday activity and sports tracker.

Huawei Band Pro 2
At its full price of £79.99 the Huawei Band Pro 2 is already the best bargain in the world of fitness trackers, because it’s loaded with features including a built-in GPS and heart rate monitor – so it’s verging on absolutely essential at the reduced price of £66 on Amazon.

Garmin Forerunner 30
Need a GPS running watch but working on a tight budget? Look no further than the Garmin Forerunner 30, currently going for £99.99 on Amazon. The Forerunner 30 is very easy to use, partly because it only has one tracking mode which is set up for running (although you can record other activities and tag them in the Garmin app later). And now the black slate model has joined the purple-band version at this price, but all the same, who doesn’t love purple?
